Checking out iACADEMY’s Nexus Campus! | INGRID NIETO Vlogs
Kids these days are fortunate because their are institutions like iACADEMY that offer programs with focused tracks in animation, graphic illustration, robotics, audio production and even app development. I went on a tour of the campus recently and was impressed that those who are about to enter senior high can already begin their education and training in media, graphic arts and information technology. iACADEMY makes sure that they have active industry practitioners as part of their teaching staff so the training isn’t just in theory but more the practical side.
If you are a budding artist, audio producer, multimedia artist, animator, app/game developer or IT specialist, you might want to check out iACADEMY’s programs and see how they can help you become a future game-changer.
TRYING OUT ERICH GONZALES’ SLIMMING SECRET
Ever had those times when you just want to eat all the food in the world without having to worry about gaining weight and growing those love handles? Even if I’m huge on vegetable smoothies and salads, I have to admit that I get tempted when I’m faced with sweet desserts, pasta, crispy pata, bagnet and tender ribs. I have to battle with that inner voice that says “Come on. Just once.” But I know full well that that “Just once.” can lead to me using that as an excuse every single time I’m at a buffet spread. It takes discipline, doesn’t it?

Checking out the NU Skin Expo
Dave and I checked out the NU SKIN Expo held at the NU Skin Philippines HQ. We got to try out the Galvanic Spa (which helps combat aging!), their Epoch Essential Oils, their Trimshake and their body analysis machine which revealed that my body age is 5 years younger than my real age!
The S3 Biophotonic Scanner also revealed my skin carotenoid score which is an indicator of the tissue carotenoid concentration and antioxidant levels of my body. If you get a 10,000-19,000 score, that means 1) You don’t consume enough vegetables, fruits and supplements 2) You’re under a lot of stress; high sun and pollution exposure and 3) You smoke or are always exposed to someone who smokes.
If you get a 30,000-39,000 score, you 1) Get a moderate amount of fruits and vegetables 2) Have regular supplementation 3) Moderate stress, sun, and pollution exposure.
40,000-50,000 means you consume huge amounts of fruits and vegetables, have optimal supplementation, low stress, sun and pollution exposure. I was surprised that I got 60,000! 😀 All that vegan food is doing me good! Watch the different stations we visited in the vlog below
Training Our Stations in CDO and Cebu
I’ve been in radio for fourteen years. I started out as a student jock, became a traffic reporter (after my segment producing stint), worked at Mellow947 for a decade, had a short stint on News FM and now, handling executive producer and announcing duties for NOW XD. Radio may seem like a fun and easy job (I do enjoy it) but there’s a lot of things that go on off-air that contribute to the mounting of a radio program. With social media and video being a huge factor now, it’s no longer just the audio output we consider. In this short VLOG, I’ll take you through our week-long radio training held at Cebu.
[WATCH] MICHAEL AND RONICA’S WEDDING AT CLEAR WATER REST HOUSE, TAGAYTAY
I love midday weddings, specially when they’re held at cool, open spaces that are close to nature. There’s something so charming about Clear Water Rest House–the green open lawn, the quaint cottage where preps can be done and the spacious patio that provides an excellent view of the Taal Volcano.
After the morning ceremony at Caleruega Chapel, guests arrived a little before lunch and entertained themselves to the brim by taking photos at the patio, posing for snaps at the photo booth and enjoying the candy bar. The weather cooperated so well. It didn’t rain and the sun gleamed with just the right intensity. Got to work with Jeo and Agnes Odulio again of Empire Weddings. More on the vlog below

I KNOW MARIAN RIVERA’S SECRET
The mere mention of “Marian Rivera” brings to mind words like “queen,” “beauty,” “a charmed life” and FLOWERS. Marian has never shied away from expressing her love for anything floral, even launching her very own flower arrangement business called Flora Vida. That of course, is just one of the many things on her bustling schedule as a wife to Ding Dong, mother to Zia and a sought-after actress and endorser. A lot are probably wondering how she was able to bounce back so fast after giving birth. Turns out, Marian is still very strict with her health and beauty regimen. Even if she’s gone back to work and still performs her duties as wife and mother at home, she makes sure that she still gets to take care of herself.
On July 27, 2017, Marian Rivera was officially introduced as the face of Snow Crystal White Beauty, a beauty supplement that fights free radicals, reduces the signs of skin aging and evens out the skin tone. In a sit-down interview during the event, Marian revealed:
Secret #1: She can skip sunblock now. Anyone who has experienced the intense Philippine heat knows that skipping sunblock is a definite no-no, so how can she NOT wear that now? Snow Crystal White Tomato has 800mg of Colorless Carotenoids (Phytofloral) derived from a unique breed of white tomatoes. It is clinically proven to deliver significant benefits such as evening out of skin tone, whitening and the increasing ability to defend itself against UVA and UVB rays. It also has 500mg Kohjin L-Glutathione, which helps repair skin and fight free radicals.
Secret #2: Though she was always told she’d make it as a movie star, Marian always wanted to become a teacher.
There’s actually more in the video, so instead of me writing verbatim, I’d rather that you listen to the snippets straight from her. 🙂 Enjoy!
[WATCH] BROWS AND LIPTINT AFTERCARE AND HEALING
How exactly do you care for your newly-tattooed brows and lips?
#1 Rule is to not get both areas wet for at least 24 hours.
That means, you cannot swim, wash or heavily sweat right after your procedure. Why? You want to protect your brows and lips from infection. They will give you an antibiotic and other aftercare ointments. For the brows I had to apply the antibiotic ointment for two days. For the lips, I had to put the cream on for 7 days. And no, you cannot use lip color while your lips are healing. Get a better idea of the aftercare in the video. I detail everything here:
