[WATCH] MICHAEL AND RONICA’S WEDDING AT CLEAR WATER REST HOUSE, TAGAYTAY

I love midday weddings, specially when they’re held at cool, open spaces that are close to nature. There’s something so charming about Clear Water Rest House–the green open lawn, the quaint cottage where preps can be done and the spacious patio that provides an excellent view of the Taal Volcano.

After the morning ceremony at Caleruega Chapel, guests arrived a little before lunch and entertained themselves to the brim by taking photos at the patio, posing for snaps at the photo booth and enjoying the candy bar. The weather cooperated so well. It didn’t rain and the sun gleamed with just the right intensity. Got to work with Jeo and Agnes Odulio again of Empire Weddings. More on the vlog below

It was a bit hard to choose and fit tons of footage in under 5 minutes! But all in all, I would like to just thank my dear friends, clients, couples, brands, coordinators and organizers for a fun peak season in the midst of reading assignments and papers for my MA. DRIVING ALONE TO PICO DE LORO FOR A WEDDING!

I’ve been to Pico de Loro thrice. All those times, there was someone else driving and I’d be on board a much bigger vehicle. When I found out that my supposed companion couldn’t make it to the trip, I braced myself to drive alone to the wedding I was hosting. I checked Google Maps. screen-shot-2017-01-13-at-7-03-56-pm-png

Two hours and thirteen minutes or two and forty? Not so bad, I thought. I’ve spent longer on EDSA. I still checked Waze for the step by step directions but I think my trip stretched on to three and a half hours. 😦 Check out my driving adventure, the wedding, a quick tour of Pico de Loro and the creepy, dark drive from Pico de Loro to Manila. FALL IN LOVE WITH SANDARI BATULAO

Looking at my calendar for the month of May has made me realize that I am in dire need of more nature time. Growing up in Rizal, I loved waking up to the sound of birds chirping, the cool air and the sight of lots and lots of trees which unfortunately, I no longer get enough of since we moved to the concrete Kingdom of Makati. There’s something about communing with nature that calms and heals the frazzled soul. I remember in college, I’d always look forward to days when my classes would end right before lunch because that meant I’d have time for a nature walk. Leading naturalist Richard Louv, author of The Nature Principle says “We can be happier, healthier, and smarter if we weave more nature into our lives,”

I was so delighted to receive an invitation from the sales team of Sandari Batulao to check out the sprawling residential mountainside community which is quickly becoming a popular destination for camping, outdoor activities and weddings. Conveniently situated at the foot of Mt. Batulao and Mt. Talamitam, the temperature and wind feels noticeably different despite the hot summer weather.
