COMPLETE YOUR HOME WITH SM HOME

I’m so happy to have attended a milestone of the SM Home department! My friend Tom (SM Home’s AVP for Marketing) brought his team together to mount this year-long campaign to inspire home-loving shoppers with design ideas featuring items that can be bought from the SM Store.

The different vignettes were set up by an eclectic mix of established and up-and-coming stars in the industry including Nina Santamaria of Grupo Santamaria, Angelo Siochi of AG Siochi, Misty Floro and Pai Edles of Morfosis and Iriss Mangio of ILM Interiors. Watch the video below:

FREE STUFF AND NEW BEAUTY BRANDS AT PHILBEAUTY 2017

If you’re always on the lookout for beauty and skin care products, make sure that you block off at least 2 days every year to attend the annual Philbeauty trade show. This year, the organizers brought together well-loved Asian brands and introduced new ones into the Philippine market. I met a lot of brand managers and directors from Taiwan, Japan and Korea who were looking to expand their presence here in the country. Watch the VLOG below and see how much fun we had visiting the different booths and getting samples.

DISCOVERING MY COLOR SEASON

I remember going through a quick color swatch during one of my classes at John Robert Powers many years ago. I was a teenager then and was completely clueless about the power of colors. I would randomly pick clothes that I thought looked cool or trendy without thinking so much if they were in the right color for my skin tone. The result? I ended up spending a lot of money on clothes that really didn’t make me look my best.

Discovering your color season will prove to be very helpful when you go shopping, get your hair dyed or even do your make-up. It’s a journey of self-discovery and acceptance–there really are times when a dress would look smashing on a model but have the opposite effect on you. There’d be moments when you try to replicate a make-up look but end up frustrated because you can’t seem to nail it. Don’t doubt your skills entirely; maybe the colors just aren’t right for you.

The Color Theory revolves around the four basic seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. This doesn’t mean that your skin tone corresponds to the season of your present location. I live in sunny Metro Manila but my color season is Cool Winter. :-p My natural hair color is black (which of course, due to kikay purposes, I have dyed since I graduated from college), my eye color is dark brown and my skin is light with some yellow and pink undertones.

Once you know your colors, it will be easier for you to tell if a dress is worth buying. Is it in your color or will it make you look washed-out? Will it make your skin glow? What hair color shades can you play around with? Watch the video below to learn more!

Visiting Pergamum – The Compromising Church | 7 Churches of Revelation Tour

The church in Pergamum (modern-day Bergama) was the third to receive a letter in the Book of Revelation. While they were commended for staying true to Jesus, they were rebuked for some of them followed false teachings.

Pergamum/Pergamon was a wealthy city that was known for its healing center–the Asclepion, its library–which boasted of 200,000 volumes written on costly parchment (sheep skin) and its temples dedicated to the Emperor Trajan, Athena and Zeus.

On with the rest of our Greece tour! In this video we go around Thessaloniki, visit the Baptistery of St. Lydia, the Archaeological Site of Philippi and end our day at Kavala/Neapolis where Paul was said to have first set foot in Europe after a Macedonian man appeared to him in a vision telling him to “Come over to Macedonia and help us!”
