The church in Thyatira was commended for good deeds, faith, love, service and perseverance. However, it was rebuked for being tolerant of Jezebel, a false prophetess who led some believers astray. She was given time to repent of her immorality but refused. Jesus warned that she would be cast on a bed of suffering along with those who commit adultery with her.
We finally crossed over to Turkey via the land border and the Strait of Dardanelles. Excited for more adventures and Biblical nerding out here!
On with the rest of our Greece tour! In this video we go around Thessaloniki, visit the Baptistery of St. Lydia, the Archaeological Site of Philippi and end our day at Kavala/Neapolis where Paul was said to have first set foot in Europe after a Macedonian man appeared to him in a vision telling him to “Come over to Macedonia and help us!”
Camp season is on! A round up of the first day of GCF Camp Live high school edition. 😀 Go find yourselves in the vid, campers and fellow staff!
Visited the oldest & biggest monastery in Meteora–The Great Meteoron, stopped by Vergina (Aigai) to see the Royal Tomb of King Philip II and Berea where Paul preached to the Bereans.
A little break from the travel vlogs. This is what I shared with the young adults in Hungary (hence, the greetings). In this message I talk about boyfriends (LOL), crying over guys, asking God about marriage among many others. Coming to terms with the single life didn’t happen overnight. It was a process and I thank God for His patience and how He’s led me throughout.
I used to just look at Meteora in photos. Seeing the rock formations & beautiful monasteries up close almost made me cry! Check out the vlog for more sights and tons of trivia!
The Happy Single goes to Greece! Visited the Corinth Grand Canal, Ancient Corinth, the Acropolis (where the Parthenon is) & Aeropagus/Mars Hill with shopping in between!
My trip to Greece and Turkey is a testament of God’s goodness and provision. After going to the Holy Land, I was told that Paul’s Journey + Seven Churches of Revelation was coming up and immediately, I started praying to God to help bring me there. I know I could have gone to more places in Asia which are much nearer and the fares much cheaper, but what I really wanted was a meaningful trip that would be educational and so in line with my faith. The Holy Land trip clearly impacted how I study God’s Word, having seen the places mentioned in both the Old and New Testament. Still, I knew there was more to see. Going to Greece meant retracing Paul’s steps as he shared the gospel far and wide despite the dangers, opposition and imprisonment that he faced. I will talk more about Turkey and our visit to Patmos in the next travel vlogs. Enjoy our arrival in Athens! If you are a follower of Jesus Christ and love God’s Word, this is a trip I recommend that you take!
God bless you!
If you’re single and you’ve attended reunions in the past, chances are you’ve had these encounters and conversations.
- People repeatedly asking you about your relationship status, who are you seeing, when are you settling down
- “You better settle down quick. Your biological clock is ticking.”
- “Maybe you’re single because you’re too picky.”
GAAAH! Just watch the video. Please do give it a thumbs up and share it if you think you’ve had enough of people pestering you about the single life.
