1:00AM processing: I found myself consciously choosing my battles this past week. I was away from home for training, had to absorb tons of information, gather materials for my folio, prepare for the Holy Land briefing, do client consultation, prepare for the Women's event & to top it all off, I had problems with my hotel because they failed to communicate check-in details prior to my arrival. I really wanted to assert my rights (at 2am yeaaaah) but I had long training days ahead that required my full energy & attention. Admittedly, ang sakit sa pride na you just have to let it go, but I needed to be wise with my time & energy. I had to be PRESENT during the training. When I finally got my room, I showered, slept it off, readied myself for the next few days & sucked the disappointment in until my flight back to Manila. Thanks to my mentor, staff & course mates at AIM SG for the hospitality, concern & help. Thanks also to my cousin in law Sheila @chocokrinkles for the "rescue" and for accompanying me in the airport while waiting for my check-in. In my dismay, the only thing I could do was pray & at least inform my husband of what was going on. Today, after a tiring week... I accidentally hurt myself with freshly-boiled water. Usually, I let instances like this pass. I'm an adult diba? Bakit ko iiyakan ang paso? But like an overflowing well, my eyes just poured out tears & I couldn't stop crying. Nung una, akala ko it was really just the pain, but oh my goodness. Humagugol ako. The burn was the trigger; it opened up a well of emotions I bottled & ignored the entire week. Pero promise masakit yung paso ko. ;( Still can't move my finger that much but I feel much more relieved after crying a river. Thank you for reading until the end. Yes, it is wise to choose our battles but let's not ignore our feelings of hurt & disappointment... Cry it out.
