Ah, Sample Room–you never run out of amazing products to road test! It’s been almost a year since I signed up and just like other members, I enjoy trying products at the comfort of my own home, at my own pace.
While product testers are available in physical stores and we’re able to take a whiff or swipe of them, there’s a difference in observing how certain products or ingredients react to one’s skin and hair.
March 1 was a big day for both Sample Room and Colour Collection, as they partnered for the official launch of the new summer-ready Ultimate Wear lipstick shades: Headturner, a show-stopping pink color that packs a punch; Temptress, an irresistibly sexy deep red shade that attracts romance; Queen Bee, a bright red shade that spells power; Bellissima, a lively coral shade that brightens your smile; and Angelic, a soft rosy nude color for everyday wear.
As I went around the venue, these lipstick paintings caught my attention and I wanted one for myself! 🙂 I was told by Sophie (of Sample Room) that I could win one of the paintings which would be raffled off. Of course I was thrilled!
I found my little spot and ordered a pink drink!
The event was hosted by Pat Hernandez (Solar Daybreak’s entertainment anchor). In the photo above you see Sophie talking about Sample Room and the start of their relationship with Colour Collection. The gorgeous Bianca Valerio facilitated a make-up demo which focused on different lip color trends.
After the make-up demo, they kept us busy with a fun lippie activity! Given the different trends we learned and armed with all shades of the Colour Collection Ultimate Wear lipsticks, we had to create our own look, take a photo and upload it on Instagram.
I called this the “I Can’t Decide Who I’m Gonna Let Out Today” look. Girly? Vampy? Sweet and Nude? Fiery?
Surprise, surprise… my entry won! I took home these goodies!
