January 12, 2012: CARE TO SHARE THURSDAY

AIVHEY: My favorite tweet from Christian Bautista: NO MORE PROCRASTINATING, NO MORE TIME TO LOSE, NO MORE MEDIOCRITY, NO more PEOPLE WHO WASTE TIME. NO MORE NEGATIVITY. IT BEGINS NOW
Ingrid’s Turn to Share:
THE BOOK OF ELI
What I learned: I wasn’t able to see the whole movie but was saw bits and parts but it conveyed the message that Eli was a man who knew God’s word by heart. I think it’s important that we don’t wait for the time that Bibles will be scarce before we begin to take God’s Word seriously. We have to study it each day. Little by little, do your quiet time. Spend time with God because He desires to reveal His will and plans for you. He wants you to know how special you are.
THE 5 LANGUAGES BABIES USE by Priscilla Dunstan
It was interesting to see her interview on Oprah and how she put her theory to the test on nine mothers with their newborn babies. Gifted with photographic memory for hearing, Priscilla thought that what she heard from her newborn son was just a special bond she shared with him. When she heard other newborn babies, she found out that there are 5 cries that are common to babies, regardless of gender or race.
She says that these crying patterns stem from the babies’ sound reflexes. For hunger, babies produce the sound “NEH”. If they feel discomfort, the crying pattern is “HEH”. “OWH” is for “I’m tired” or “I’m sleepy”. “EAIRH” is a sound produced when they have flatulence or an upset stomach while “EH” means the baby needs to be burped.
When the mothers and babies were put in a room with Priscilla, it was astounding how she identified their cries and told the mothers what to do to appease their crying. If you haven’t seen the video, click below:
THE SOCIAL NETWORK
My sister asked me “Do you think Facebook would get laos?” I admire Mark Zuckerberg—his brains and his go-getting attitude. Though he had a lot of lawsuits against him, I still think that people with brains like his are out there but they either haven’t realized their potential or are too scared to reach for it.
Will Facebook reach it’s expiration date? Yes it will but it may take years before it happens. Our technology continues to advance and new discoveries are being put out there each day. Who knows if the next Mark Zuckerberg is in kindergarten? Who knows if the next Bill Gates or Donald Trump is in baby diapers?
The only thing constant in the world is change, people will always look for something new and the modern age would demand something more. Still, these too shall pass. I stand firm in God because I know that no matter how many computers or gadgets or high tech stuff would come, His love remains the same.
