RAJO! for Parisian – Shoe-happy me!

Just attended the launch of RAJO for Parisian, and just like the other girls (and guys) at the event, I went home shoe-happy!

In Rajo’s Twitter account and his blog, he mentioned that November 9, 2011 is a big day for him and indeed, it was. After more than a year of research, conceptualizing and working on the designs, the shoe collection finally saw the light of day at the SMDC showroom at the SM Mall of Asia.

I like how the show was brief yet extravagant. There were no lengthy special numbers, just an attention-grabbing fashion walk and video that encapsulated everything Rajo worked on and his excitement to partner with Parisian. After a final pose with his models, Rajo gleefully told all of us present that we’d be the first ones to take home our own pair of Rajo for Parisian shoes!

Oh, the frenzy that followed! They dedicated a portion of the SMDC showroom to a long display of shoes where we picked out styles we liked and asked the friendly SM attendants for our sizes. It took me a while to try my pair on, but when I slipped my feet into the plum and brown Kylie G shoes, I just fell in love!

For this shoe collection, Rajo drew inspiration from sculpture, architecture and pop culture.  Eugene Saw of Parisian said that teaming up with Rajo was a wonderful experience as he shared with them his expertise and work ethic –factors that are responsible for the success of his brand. Given the collection’s exquisite design and workmanship, the shoes are priced from P999.75 to P2,199.75, remaining true to what Parisian stands for – high fashion made affordable.

The Rajo! for Parisian collection will be available at seven premiere SM Department Stores starting November 11 – SM Makati, SM Cubao, SM North EDSA, SM Megamall, SM Southmall, SM Mall of Asia, and SM Cebu.
