A look into Pond’s new skin care products

I’m no expert when it comes to product recommendation, but allow me to share with you how certain products have worked for me.
I was so delighted to get a little something from Unilever Philippines last week—a Ponds package which included four of their new products: Pond’s Acne Expert Pore Conditioning Toner, Pond’s White Beauty Pore Conditioning Toner, Pond’s White Beauty Pinkish White Glow Lightening Cream and Pond’s Age Defense Multi-Benefit Illuminating Cream with SPF 15.

I gave each product a try (on separate days) and here’s what I’ve noticed so far:

Pond’s Acne Expert Pore Conditioning Toner
Goes on cool. The perfect astringent after a hot day. This product may be a little too much for me since it’s formulated for acne-prone skin (meaning it may be too harsh for those like me who have normal/combination skin). Skin feels clean and tight after application.

Pond’s White Beauty Pore Conditioning Toner
Goes on cool but not as minty as Acne Expert. Um… it’s pink so I like it (duh! Does that count at all?). I’d have to say this is milder than the first one, so I think I’d use this. As for the whitening effect, I have yet to find out.

Pond’s White Beauty Pinkish White Glow Lightening Cream
Goes on smooth with a matte finish. Could be used as a make-up base. It’s probably just the humidity here, but 5-10 minutes after applying this, my face begins to sweat up. Make sure you spread it over your face evenly, or you’ll have white traces of the cream.

Pond’s Age Defense Multi-Benefit Illuminating Cream with SPF 15
I am very conscious about premature ageing so this product is a definite must-have. As much as the sun gives us Vitamin D, it also is the skin’s enemy when we talk about ageing. I don’t know if the effect of this product is similar to Pond’s Age Defense Cream, but aside from the anti-ageing benefits, this product is more inclined towards whitening.
